Unified Storage
Unified Storage was called by this name because of its primary benefit that is combining NAS and SAN Storage. It has the ability to access the two types of data transfer; block data for applications and the data files transfer in the same cabinet. It also allows many file protocols such as CIFS (Common Internet File System) and NFS (Network File System) and standard block protocols like Fibre Channel (FC) and iSCSI (Internet Small Computer Systems Interface) to grant users and applications access to data consolidated on a single device.
